This photo-documentary explores the growth and development of the 'alternative movement' in the Rainbow Region of Australia. Through photographs and text it maps out the cultural and spiritual legacy of the movement and the ideas and institutions it gave birth to, including recognition of the resurgence of traditional Aboriginal culture; living in community in harmony with the land; appropriate technology including wind, water and solar energy; permaculture, seed-saving and natural farming; holistic health and medicine; and the synthesis of science, art and philosophy. This site represents the culmination of a multi-media exhibition that comprised the work of over one hundred photographers, film makers, writers, poets, children and cultural visionaries. The social, cultural and spiritual ideas embraced by this movement
are in a state of perpetual evolution and represent the creative vision
of 'Some Children of the Dream'.
