Grafton Bridge Walk 2006

Grafton Guides and Scouts had a combined meeting. It was a great evening spent down by the banks of the Clarence River . The groups meet near the sailing club and after a safety talk by both leaders we ventured on to the bridge. The kids walked quickly and so we decided to do the trip again, this time meeting a very long freight train that shook the bridge. The Guides also wandered down to the train station for a stickybeak.

Then it was time to meet up in front the sailing club for a couple of slices of pizza. Soon the pizzas were gone and so were the boxes! The Scouts had taken them to use as toboggans on the steep grassy slopes. Well it didn't take long for the Guides to join in, in this impromptu game and soon we had lots of happy and excited kids running up and down the embankment.
