AISG Guidelines
- The Australian Infertility Support Group Group (AISG) is for people who are struggling
with infertility in Australia. Members who become pregnant after joining the Australian
Infertility Support Group. Group may remain as members if they wish for the purpose of
supporting those who are still trying to conceive. However, the Australian Infertility
Support Group. Group should not be used as a forum for support for pregnant members since
the AISG was not set up for this purpose. Members who become pregnant are however very
welcome to join the "Pregnancy after Infertility" Group (AISG-grads) which is a
sub-group of the Australian Infertility Support Group Group. for their needs of support in
pregnancy.
- All members of the AISG must agree not to pass on any persons email or home
address, either now or in the future, without the express permission of that person.
Members must also agree not to give out the ozinfert or AISG-grads mailing list email
addresses to anyone who is not a member of the group. To do so would mean a breach of
trust and you may be asked to leave the group.
- All communications received and sent between the AISG members are private and
confidential, and may not be copied, reproduced, or forwarded to any other person without
the permission of the author(s). This is automatically protected under Copyright
regulations.
- The AISG mailing list is NOT to be used for commercial purposes. This includes
advertising, spamming, journalistic research, or for the purpose of collecting data.
- There will be no promotion or advertising of any clinic or medical specialist and
or/their services, either directly or indirectly.
- There will be no promotion or advertising of any established infertility organisations
and support groups, either directly or indirectly.
- Infertility organisations or their representatives, writers, journalists, and
researchers may not join the AISG in a "professional" capacity, or for research
or observation, and will be actively discouraged from doing so.
- Medical professionals, infertility clinics, hospitals, and medical clinics, or their
representatives, may not join the AISG, and will be actively discouraged from doing so.
- Counsellors may not join the AISG in a "counselling" capacity.
- AISG members must warn other members of sensitive topics like babies and pregnancy in
the subject topic. ie. babies, child(ren) or PG mentioned.
- The AISG will operate as a MAILING LIST, where each member can send email to all members
of the group (bulk email), and each member will receive email from every other member of
the group. However, there may be times when a personal response to a particular group
member may be more appropriate.
- Large files must not be sent to the members of the AISG via the mailing list. If you
have a picture or program that you think may be of interest to the group, please let the
group know first and send it only to those members requesting a copy. Or if you prefer,
you can send the picture or program to me and I will put it on the AISG website so that
whoever is interested can access it.
- If you ever have any question or problem about any of the AISG Guidelines or about the
running of the group, please contact Diana PERSONALLY at aisg@nor.com.au, NOT through the
